My name is Ben (a.k.a. MaddHat or MadHatter.) I’m a geek, working as a datacenter technician in the Midwest. I consider myself fairly well-rounded in regards to my technical skill-set, and enjoy sharing information on this blog I find to be interesting or particularly informative.
I setup this blog for two reasons – one is to showcase some of my photography while staying in control of layout, style, and quality of the photos posted. The second is to give my input to technical topics I find interest in. I am constantly involved with different projects with GNU/Linux, scripting, etc. and find myself searching blogs for answers to many of my questions along the way. I find this blog as a way to give back and post my findings on issues I encounter, or to better document things that I had trouble finding myself. My articles should not be taken as expert advice – as they are merely the methods that worked successfully for my own situations. Hopefully a few can find my posts helpful when they run into troubles or are interested in a subject.
